Joining PRIMER-Connecticut

You can help Promote Responsibility in Middle East Reporting in Connecticut by joining PRIMER-Connecticut, the only regional organization whose sole mission is to do just that.

Because PRIMER is a volunteer-run organization, it's able to accomplish much with little financial cost. While PRIMER does have some expenses, it needs membership primarily to enhance its credibility and its ability to influence newspapers and other media to fulfill their obligations to report on the Middle East responsibly and without bias.

Dues levels are as follows: To join PRIMER, send an email to PRIMER's treasurer, Mark Trencher (m.trencher@comcast.net), including your name, address, phone number and email address and confirming that you agree to the following purposes and goals set forth in the PRIMER Bylaws.
  1. PRIMER - Connecticut, Inc. is a non-profit, nondenominational educational organization created to monitor the accuracy and fairness in the reporting of events in the Middle East.
  2. PRIMER - Connecticut, Inc. has the mission of identifying Middle East inaccuracies, misleading statements and biased reporting, educating its membership and the public by providing factual material to the public to cor- rect such misinformation.
  3. PRIMER - Connecticut, Inc. has the further mission of educating its membership in the techniques of moni- toring, recognizing, and responding to Middle East inaccuracies and misinformation.
  4. PRIMER - Connecticut, Inc. also has the mission of educating the public through publications, seminars, meetings and other means about misinformation, bias and sources of factual information on the Middle East.
PRIMER-Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions to PRIMER are tax deductible in the United States.
